Now, I'll be honest, I have no idea what this car is but it looks awesome. And I'm pretty sure the guy was driving 10 under the limit so everyone can marvel at this classic beauty.
Update: its' a '55 Belair, mystery solved.

Actually that's a factory continental kit. The JC Whitney stuff just used the stock rear bumper and pulled it out far enough to clear the spare and then metal would fill the gap.
Looks like a well accessorized 4 door 55 bel air. Has the rocker trim, gas cap guard, door handle guards, visor, I can see the end guards on the front bumper so I bet it also has the grille guard, also the little side glass visors.
Very well restored 55 chevy. only problem is the extra set of doors.

I'm glad he was driving it. Such nice cars shouldn't be left in a garage to Rot away.

If it makes you feel better, on my in-laws property there are two '67 mustangs that haven't seen the light of day since before my wife was born ('89), and a '32 ford model aa (dumptruck) that has been left to the elements for so many years...

I have a 33 ford pickup that I show a lot. you can take the cab, hood and grille and swap frames and you have a regular pickup. the 32-34s are roughly the same but 32 was the oddball of the 3 years.

Well I'll be honest, I believe it's a '32. I saw pics of that year and they looked the closest.
Actually, any and all vehicles on the property (yes there's more, I noted the highlights). I had to estimate the years from hearsay and taking pics and searching online for the closest one. The only thing I can't figure out is the year of the Harley bike. It's just a frame and engine.

that cab is a 33-34. the big giveaway is the firewall. see how at the middle to bottom of it, it pushes out? A 32 is just flat like all 32 fords. the easiest way then to tell a 33 from a 34 is on the back of the cab a 34 has a extra belt line added

A belt line, whats that?

the back of my 33 Pickup, look mainly under the rear window
back of a 34 cab, see the extra wide bump added under the rear window? that's the biggest difference in the cabs between 33-34 ford pickups

Its the best pic I have, but I don't see a belt. So it's a '33 from the looks of it.
Here's some pics of the bed. I included it because it is different from the pics shown above. It's also a dualie. Not sure what car the the pieces in the bed go to...

I see a 55 chevy grille in there. usually the bed on a truck was not a ford piece. Ford would sell the truck as a running truck with nothing on the back so it could be then added with whatever the truck was going to be.

Really? That's pretty awesome about the bed. And so that's a '55 Chevy grill...curious...
There use to be more cars on my in-laws 40 acres, but the state forced them to get rid of them. That grill is probably a piece from those cars.
So what engine did the '33 model aa come with? A straight 6? I was told that the last engine this one had was a v8. Unfortunately that engine is now long gone, it was sold.

you either had a inline 4 or flathead V8. most big trucks got the V8 but I have seen a few with the I4

Then it was the flathead v8 then. I forgot to mention, your truck looks awesome!
